Professional Background

My name is Rachel Mombourquette, and I am a pre-licensed Counselling Therapist completing my clinical practicum at the Psychology and Wellness Centre. Since joining the Centre in May 2026, I have had the privilege of supporting clients from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences. I work under the clinical supervision of Paulette Lévesque, M.A.Ps., Licensed Clinical Psychologist, and collaborate closely with our experienced multidisciplinary team to ensure that every client receives compassionate, evidence-based care.

My passion for psychology comes from a genuine interest in understanding people and helping them navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and resilience. My academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Mount Allison University, where I developed a deep appreciation for cultural diversity, human connection, and the importance of approaching every individual with empathy, curiosity, and respect.

I later completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of New Brunswick and am currently completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. My graduate training has provided me with a strong foundation in psychotherapy, mental health assessment, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches that support lasting emotional well-being.

I believe that therapy is most effective when people feel safe, respected, and truly heard. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Every person has a unique story, and I strive to meet each client with compassion, authenticity, and an understanding that healing looks different for everyone.

Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, grief, life transitions, low self-esteem, or simply wish to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, I am here to support you. Together, we will identify the challenges you are facing, recognize your personal strengths, and develop practical strategies to help you move toward the life you want to live.

Seeking support is an important step, and it takes courage. I consider it a privilege to accompany clients on that journey and to provide a space where growth, healing, and hope can flourish.

I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your palh toward greater well-being.
