COUNSELLING SERVICES AVAILABLE

Dear Community members,

We are excited to announce the availability of counselling services at the Psychology and Wellness Centre in Dieppe, NB. Our centre is committed to fostering mental wellness and supporting the professional growth of new therapists.

These services are provided by practicum students pursuing their master's degree in counselling psychology at Yorkville University. Each student therapist is closely supervised by Paulette Levesque, a seasoned psychologist and the Psychology and Wellness Centre owner. Her extensive experience and guidance make our practicum students well-equipped to offer quality mental health support.

At the Psychology and Wellness Centre, we are more than just a service provider. We are a vibrant community dedicated to helping individuals thrive. Our mission is to deliver effective mental health services and nurture the next generation of exceptional therapists. Whether you are dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, or any other mental health concern, our team, your community, is here to support you on your journey to well-being.

A few years ago I found myself in the office of Paulette Lévesque psychologist at the Dieppe psychology centre. I knew that something was not right with me but I could not put my finger on it. Following an assessment Miss Lévesque's suspicions were confirmed – I was suffering from severe depression. I did not believe her...as this could not be happening to me!!! Nonetheless, symptoms do not lie. I had lost 50 lbs in six months, I barely slept 4 hours a night, I could no longer focus having lost my concentration abilities, my mind was going 1000 miles a minute of thinking about anything and everything, and, I could no longer function. Most importantly I had lost interest in life as I was in a state of mind that I had lost control of my life. My life was in danger. I began a long and difficult process of healing. I did have setbacks brought on by different causes and at different levels: emotionally, personally, within my family unit, and, numerous external factors. My therapy sessions with Paulette led to a full recovery. Today, I am healthy, I am strong, and, I continue to live my life without worrying too much about the things I cannot control. Paulette was there for me when I did not know where to get help.
